Tree Planting Incursion

On Wednesday 28th of October, S3 helped to plant 3 new trees that were purchased through the very generous funding from the Trees for Bees Grant provided by the Wheen Bee Foundation. The species chosen were endemic to WA, with an Agonis Flexuosa or Peppermint tree - a species already seen widely across the school providing much needed shade, and two Hakea Laurina or Pincushion, a highly floral tree providing wonderful habitat for bee and bird species, particularly in spring time when it bursts into bloom.

The P&C Grants Coordinator Star Gianatti assisted the class in the preparation and planting of the trees and noted that they did a fantastic job in caring for and adding to the school environment.
